This completely demystified how a consumer product goes from a scribble to a real concept. Starting with loose sketches and learning to refine them with proper proportion and perspective gave me confidence I never had before. The way it connects form to actual function and user needs really changed how I look at everyday objects now. Planning out the 3D concept at the end tied everything together and felt like a genuine designer's workflow. I came in with zero background and walked away with a coffee-mug concept I'm proud of. Easily one of the most practical creative courses I've taken.

I'd always doodled gadget ideas in notebooks but never knew how designers actually take them forward, and this filled that gap nicely. The progression from rough thumbnails to refined sketches and then planning a 3D concept made the whole industrial design process feel approachable. I especially liked the section on thinking about ergonomics and manufacturing before committing to a form. The drawing fundamentals on perspective and proportion were genuinely useful too. My one gripe is that the 3D portion stayed fairly high-level and I wanted more hands-on modeling. Even so, it's a solid foundation and I'd recommend it to anyone curious about product design.

Ich komme aus einem ganz anderen Bereich und wollte verstehen, wie aus einer Idee ein echtes Produkt wird, und genau das liefert dieser Kurs. Der Weg von der ersten Skizze über die Ausarbeitung bis zum geplanten 3D-Konzept ist nachvollziehbar aufgebaut. Besonders gut fand ich die Grundlagen zum Skizzieren in Perspektive, das hatte ich vorher nie sauber hinbekommen. Auch die Überlegungen zu Funktion und Nutzerbedürfnissen beim Industriedesign waren ein Aha-Moment. Etwas mehr Tiefe beim eigentlichen 3D-Modellieren hätte ich mir noch gewünscht, da blieb es recht konzeptionell. Trotzdem ein richtig guter Einstieg, den ich angehenden Produktdesignern empfehle.
